It is better adapted for photographers than for the presbytery of Manitoba meets to Morrow wednesday morning at 10 o clock for the transaction of business. The even ing Sode runt is to be occupied with the Dis Cussion of the subject of Sabbath Observance. As our readers Are aware two views the Continental and the English prevail in reference to the Observance of this Day. The one makes it a Holiday and the other a Holyday. The presbyterians have always and everywhere been opposed to laxness in the Observance of the Day and we presume this discussion and any action the court May take will be to guard Sac redly the first Day of the week. Several ministers we understand Are to introduce the subject by Short addresses and the presbytery will afterwards deliberate. The meeting is of course Public and All who wish can attend. The surveys of the several blocks of City lots seem to have been made with refresh ing uncertainty and admirable recklessness. The new City map now in course of preparation shows that streets supposed to be straight really resemble a piece of red River streets supposed to terminate opposite other streets terminate in the Centre of blocks the outlines of blocks cannot be made by any sort of pressure to contain the subdivided lots supposed to be lying and being therein and some Nice looking blocks of land shown on registered plans in the map disappear altogether. There is scarcely a lot in the City sold during the past five years which is anywhere near where its purchaser supposed it was and a terrible time will be had when things Coine to be fixed up. The new map will be completed about the end of the month. Police the unsophisticated Reader dear sir this is poetry the peelers surrounded the House and crept up still As a mouse twas a House of ill fume and the peelers game was to bust it before sound ing the Rouse. Inside there were four or five a very Large sized rat they smells for a Buffalo skin coat when once seen you will besides they did t hanker for cells. Those Buffalo Coats Felt rather thin dollars and costs for the City were to win so the doors they were and timbers were crashed and the peelers through the Hall rushed in. What a picture there met their gazes heavy swells nobs and hard mixed up together like Birds of one Feather and talking profane language like blazes. To the police station then they were taken was no buying off nor no Fakin but individuals six found themselves in a fix and their pure Little hearts were near breaking. To Day they did t come before the mayor a lawyer was there As the of the up Ondulic for the unfortunate but where were the prisoners of where thus ended the celebrated scan May., and from the swells the bobbies did lag the City it collars twice ninety dollars to fill up it s lean Money bag.
