Passengers on Board the Steamer Serena state that in Arica the Esmeralda regiment revolted. The regiment was quickly sur rounded by the Reat of the Garrison troops who shot at the revolvers lulling several. This was effective in quelling the disturbance. At Pisaga it is also reported that a regiment revolted und but for the energetic measures. Taken there would have been serious trouble it is stated that six prominent citizens of Caldera were put to death because it was said they were in the plot to blow up the Blanco Encalada. The Congress has appointed a Coa mites to study and formulate a plan for a Bank which will serve the general interests of the country. The Bank will have the Protection of the government. The insurgents have captured the Little City of Quinteros. Nothing of value was found by the rebels and they accordingly left the place.
