Two years later when the firm s books were audited he was surprised to find that these notes were charged to the firm Anc the told him that Murphy could no produce All the vouchers in reference to these notes. Referring to the Esqui Mau graving Dock contract he said before signing he asked sir Hector to omit the clause in the contract c impelling the Brm to buy the old Plant Anc and material. Sir Hector after consulting chief Engineer Parley refused to remove the clause. Witness then complained that Many items included in the old Plant were Over valued and useless. Sir Hector said sign the contract and we will look into the matter and Settle that wit Ness signed the contract on that understanding.
