Those political donations to whom was Money paid the conservative party. Continuing witness added that Robert gave him out of the subsidies of the Des Chalmurs railway for local elections. To Geoffrion he said he had advanced Money for the Purchase of the Steamer Admiral in new York on behalf of the St. Lawrence boat company. When the boat reached her destination thick Sipany refused to refund the advances and she became a White elephant on his hands. He admitted that the Steamer although registered in Shabat s name belonged to himself until last february during All which time he was a member of parliament. Bohabot accounted to him All the earnings of the boat which had Osen drawing a subsidy of a year from the government far the Carriage of the mails.
