It is in exactly the same position As any Collefer in Winnipeg representing a special Church and theology. The attendance. The attendance this year is More than Erial to expectations in View of the great Scarcity of labor during the fail. A greater influx of students will follow after new years As under these conditions Many have deferred their coming till that time. As is to be expected in the Early years of such an institution the majority of arts students Are taking up the work of the first year. Consequently there will not Likely be any candidates for the degree of b. A. For a year or two. There Are at present Over 20 students taking matriculation work a show ing which no College in Winnipeg could boast of at the same stage of its growth. The standing of the five graduates in philosophy of last Spring from Brandon College is a High tribute to the efficiency of the staff assistants. The following statistics Are exceedingly interesting. In View of the fact that the Brandon students were not by their teachers As was the Case with Winnipeg students. The five graduates referred to constituted 1814-27 per cent of the Stu dents who graduated in philosophy in 1902 in the University of Manitoba. They constituted approximately 2l per cent of students gaining 1a standing 20 per cent of students gaining in standing 22 per cent of students gaining us standing. I per cent of students gaining a stand ing. It is noticeable that the number taking 3rd class standing was very Low. With the continued steady support of the West such As Lias already been Given the continued Success of the undertaking and the High Standard of work is assured. The Liberal support of the people and the general interest is More than we had any right to expect when we said or. Mcdiarmid to the free press correspondent last night when asked concerning the general Progress of the College. Since the opening of the College in 1s09 additions and changes have taken place in the staff and a brio.
