Russia is determined to help Servia fight against Austria vast army of Czar s men mobilized on Southern Frontier and activity reported along Grehian demonstrations in St. Peters Burg show populace expects help from France and May Lead army As Fleet sails under sealed orders following St. Petersburg despatch was passed by the censor without revision a fact which is considered highly significant St. Petersburg july 29. The extraordinary election Campaign in the Pas came to a remarkable end yesterday morning at 10 o clock when David Ciappi the returning officer posted on the his office an announcement that he had returned the writ of election to the clerk of the executive Council accompanied by a document claiming to be the Resigna Tion of we. So far As the Liberal organization concerned Carriere disappeared ast saturday. No one knew anything about his intentions or movements. When he failed to turn up sunday or monday Liberal committee got uneasy but they did not think he had played them false and the announce ment was a Bolt from the Blue for them. Howden s actions on monday. On monday Hon. J. H. Howden attorney general waited upon the re turning officer presented a Tion purporting to be Carriere s resignation and returning officer to Send this resignation with the writ of to the clerk of the j executive Council at Winnipeg.
