Meeting held. All of the gentlemen named accepted his Royal highness invitation and with two present at a meeting held today in the prime min ister s office at which his Royal High Ness presided. At this meeting it was agreed that an organization should be formed to be known As the Canadian patriotic the object being to provide assistance in Case of need to the wives children and dependent relatives of officers and men residents of Canada who during the present War May be on Active service with the military and naval forces of great Britain or of her allies. It was decided to ask its present session to enact the Neces sary legislation to incorporate the can Adian patriotic fund and to Confer upon its executive the necessary pow ers to receive and for the purpose named. A sub com be was appointed to assist in the drafting of the necessary legislation. It is not the purpose of the Cana Dian patriotic fund to in anyway supersede the work of voluntary Agen cies already formed or of other Agen cies that May come into existence it is intended rather to provide Machin Ery which will co ordinate the efforts of the several bodies and provide new agencies where none at the present time exist.
