Years peace churches of Canada to celebrate occasion by special services programme. Next sunday special services Are to held in Canadian churches in commemoration of the Hundred years of peace Between the British Empire and the United states of America. All the churches have endorsed the idea and it is also receiving marked recognition in the United states. In Canada the leaders of the churches have taken the View that the present terrible War does not make the hold ing of this peace Celebration Inopportune on the other hand they de Clare that it makes it All the More imperative to dwell upon the importance of the Long peace Between the great English speaking nations and the great desirability that such a peace be per manent. _ in. Canada the peace Centen Arv commemoration has been endorsed by the presbyterian Synod of the maritime provinces of Rev. Or. Herridge Moderator of tic presbyterian Church of Canada b Rev. H. To. Horsey chairman of the congregational Union of Canada by Rev. Or. Norton superintendent or the Baptist Home Mission Board of on Tario and Quebec by his archbishop of Rupert s land by Rev.
