The murdered Man made his Home at Hansboro although he generally worked in the country round about with his outfit of horses and implements. He planned taking a trip to Eastern Ontario to visit a brother and apparently was endeavouring to collect some Money due him before leaving. Last seen at Orton s the last he was heard of was at Clarence Orton s place but his absence was accounted for by the state ment of Young or top that Scott had left for Ontario and that he. Had bought his horses and machinery. However the state authorities some months ago smarted i of the Case and finally a suspicion was fastened upon Orton. The web of circumstantial evidence was Woven until on sunday last Youngo Tom crime. Orton s Story was that he and Thos. Rod a respected citizen of the Hans Boro District committed Tho crime. Accuses another Man according to this Story of Orton s Rod did the shooting and Orton tied the legs of the dead Man together hitched a horse to the body and dragged it to a manure pile spine Hundred Yards away where it was buried. Orton took the sheriffs to the exact location and the decomposed body was dug up and brought into Hans Boro. Meanwhile the two men were taken into custody. A Coroner s in quest was held at Hansboro on Sun of Day night and the prisoners got their wounds 300 wounded 170 now reported preliminary prisoners and 37 missing.
