On the Standard mining Exchange today fell into a summer slump with total sales reported As slightly More than the Price trend in general showed but Small variations from former closing Levels. Among the better class stocks prices mostly fell to lower Levels. Lake Shore however proved the exception and advanced 45c to close at s25. Mclntyre declined 5 Points to s15 Noranda and Nickel in limited trading fell off in Price the former closing Down 25c to s64.50. And the latter losing 50c, closed at 354.50. In the oils. British american Oil and International Petroleum each fell 25c, closing at and respectively while Home Oil dropped a like amount closing at and Mayland Oil closed at 310.60, dropping 10 Points for the Day. In the non ferrous Metal stocks Amulet and Newbeck were stronger in Price and featured in trading. Amulet j advanced 14c, closing the Day at Newbeck moved up 2 Points in Strong trading to close at 38c. Amo the thirst most Active on the list advanced one Point to close at 39c. Sudbury Basin closed up 15c at Gold and Silver stocks were without special feature either in Price or Trad ing. Malartic the most Active advanced a fraction to close at 90c Keeley 4 Points to 49c Vipond advanced 3c to 80c Hollinger fell off 35c to close at s8.40 mining corporation at dropped 15c Treadwell off 25c, closed at s9.50 and Teck Hughes lost 5 i Points closing at 57.30. 41ax was the most Active of the Oil stocks but failed to hold the strength in Price that has featured the shares to some time past with the result that it closed Down 2 Points at irregular movement on Toronto Exchange gains and losses about equally divided Toronto aug.
