The Smith Cobalt interests have about completed preliminary work at the property near Cross Lake and expect to begin development operations Early next month. Equipment has been installed but a change in pumping methods has been found necessary to control the flow of water a Handicap when mining corporation had an option there some years ago. When a trial was made Over several Days it was found that pumps operated by air could not hold Down the water sufficiently d. J. Russell consulting Engineer said and electricity will be used instead.
