It is two Days after the fourth r july and not one of the turf Cham has been decided. In contrast by this time la year War Admiral had won the three year old Crown and gone int temporary retirement be Abisco had earned acclaim As the Best the Handicap division and the rank ing two year Olds had served notice of what to expect in their lat season specials. This year it is entirely different the Admiral and sea biscuit Bol have gone Down after keeping the fans guessing As to when and when they intended to race. With the exception of Lawrin the three year Olds have beaten each other regu Jarly while the top notch two year Olds have yet to be tested. The Admiral chalked up fou straight victories including the Widener Challenge cup before h finished out of the Money in the Massachusetts Handicap for the first time in his career. He ducked the Issue in the suburban Handicap by snark in near record time the biscuit s record sea biscuit which failed to train for his match race with the Admiral and also the Massachusett Handicap won two races on the West coast but finished second in three others. Two of his second were in the Santa Anita Handicap and the stars and Handicap at Arlington Park Lawrin despite his Victory in the Derby does not have Clear claim to the three year old title.
