Dmetro a Nobida of ukrainian won the Dauphin agricultural society s so yield Given for the highest grand aggregate score. He also scored first in making rope halters and third in judging Dairy cattle Ignace Garzinski of Ash vice placed first in hitching and driving while Jack Winder of Nanale took Hon ors in sticking and plucking Poul try. Wallace Lue of Erickson and Fred Didur of ukrainian respectively won in showing horses and cattle. In the judging competitions. Chas. Keating of Silverton placed first in Dairy cattle Jim Rannie of Binscarth in Bacon hogs Robert Carmichael of Dauphin in beef cattle and William Kokolski of Sif ton in horses. There was a heavy local entry in poultry to compete with the four exhibitors from Brandon Portage and Neepawa. Robert Mcgregor of Carman placed the awards. Most consistent Winner was Howard Durston a local breeder. Showing seven Breeds of poultry As Well As ducks and geese he took six firsts eight seconds and four thirds. J. Rowley of Brandon scored heavily in Wyandotte and leg horns with five firsts and two seconds while a fellow townsman h. Bottley also took five firsts and to seconds chiefly in Ancona and Rhode Island reds. C. H. Walker of Portage la Prairie carried off honors in Wyandotte with three firsts. Geo. Douell of Neepawa did he same with his Sussex entries. In White leghorn Bert Caldwell of Dauphin won three firsts a Sec Ond and three thirds while Geo. Tucker another local breeder made a clean sweep in barred rocks. Principal Winner in ducks and Eese was mrs. D. M. Dunfield of Dauphin while the Turkey awards were won by mrs. Frank Whitmore and w. A. Maynard both of Dau Phin. Saskatchewan breeders All of Huntoon made a clean sweep in the awards for pure bred sheep. J. M. Bowman of Winnipeg judged. L. E. Swinehart scored eight firsts and five seconds in Southdown while Alex. Duncan a fellow breeder took six firsts and four seconds and a third in All other pure Breeds. Swinehart also scored in class taking three firsts three seconds and two thirds. W. C. Heron was awarded one second three thirds and four fourths. In Grade sheep John and Beatrice Fradley won two firsts and two seconds while another local breeder mrs. L. Hutchison scored two firsts a second and a third. In the Swine exhibit a. Shoe maker of Grandview had a clean Field in Yorkshire winning nine firsts and three seconds. James Stewart of Gilbert Plains swept most of the awards in any other variety with six firsts and a Sec Ond while d. A. Hutchison of Ash Ville was awarded and one second. H. Washington of Ninga had a Busy Day Friday placing the awards in beef cattle. In the shorthorn class Chas. Irwin. Of Newdale Cap tured All the awards with the exception of one which was won by James Stewart of Gilbert Plains with his two year old Bull. There was closer Competition in herefords Between j. J. Dunn of Silverton and Watson Dunn of Russell. The former showed the championship female besides taking five firsts and three seconds while the latter showed the championship Bull and captured Lour firsts four seconds and three thirds. Harry Leader and son of por Tage la Prairie had very Little opposition in the Aberdeen Angus class. His Herd took All first awards and most of the seconds. W. J. F. Warren of Belbeck sask. Was Only Able to take two seconds and six thirds. R. A. Mcleod of Macdonald. Had a Clear Field in red polls his Herd winning nine firsts and three seconds. A special prize offered by w. J Ward. Special and girls of Warren Rosser and Argyle brought the results of nine months conscientious work for Competition at Warren calf club fair at Warren Friday afternoon when they showed and afterwards sold the Hereford calves they had fed. There were 72 entries including 16 new feeders As against 49 last year. Ten of the competitors were girls. Opening the show the Deputy minister of agriculture j. H. Evans said that it was in Warren that the calf club movement began. George Tait the manager had started out to feed one definite Breed with the result that there was on offer in Warren that Day the largest collection of one Breed yet shown by a Alf club in the country. The move ment made for better agriculture. There was no finer education for the Young Pec pie on the land judging of. Stock was done by James Turner Carroll who said that it was a wonderful show of calves and a credit to the club. Seven year old competes since october last the Beys and girls had been feeding grooming and exercising their calves. The grand championship was won by Bob Rutherford Tosser aged 19, with his 790-lb. Heifer which also won the class for 760 ibs. And Over in which there were 34 entries. Another calf fed by him was third in the Light class under 760 ibs., while his two entries also came second in the pairs Competition. Bob Rutherford had been competing for seven years at War Ren but these were his first prizes. David blah Rosser aged 29, won the Light class and the Reserve championship and was first in the pairs and fourth in the heavy class. This was the fourth year he had shown a calf.
