Brown of the univer sity of Manitoba completed judg ing in Dairy cattle a class that was Well filled by local and visiting exhibitors. Henry Thompson and son of Fairlight sask., competing with h. D. Brewer of Dauphin scored 12 firsts three seconds and one third while the latter placed first in one class second in eight others and third in seven. In the Gurnsey class two local breeders shared honors. J. A. Mckillop placed first in eight classes second in one. And third in two while his competitors g. W. Cornwall won with our Damp Wash or Thrifty services try our in three classes and took three seconds and a third. Townsend and Millington and the Trappist fathers of St. Norbert went on from where they left off at the Portage fair by winning the ribbon for both male and female holsteins and placing first in nine other classes. A special prize offered by the Bank of Commerce for three females owned by the exhibitor the get of one pure bred sire was won by s. D. Brewer of Dauphin. In the local boys and girls Dairy Heifer Competition John Mckillop placed first. Ken Buchanon second Jack Buchanon third and George Brewer fourth.
