I photographic Eastman materials m7 Poh tace Avenue limited girls., have you Ever thought How hard it often is for the boy Friend to face your parents for the first time i know there Are boys who Don t mind a bit. They Are not shy or diffident and perhaps Are accustomed to meet strangers socially. But the Nice Young lad who has not had much social life in his own Home and who never had a girl in life before finds it an ordeal to face parents even though his heart May be guileless. So try to understand the boy and make the ordeal easy for him. I know Dame Grundy says a boy must come to your Home to meet the folks before taking you out. That is right and proper. But a girl can do much to make that meet ing a casual Happy instead of a formal dress up deliberate affair. If a girl likes a boy she she can say casually drop around to my House for a minute while i get my or it May be a Book or a Tennis Racket or something. This business of having the boy come Over some evening for inspection is an any boy. The family goes into some sort of formal trance with Best manners and so Forth and the younger Fry get the giggles which makes the whole thing a mess. I imagine such is the situation in dictated in the letter of wondering blonde. Dear or. Antheil i am 16 years old. Have blonde hair and Blue cyrs. I am wondering if you can solve my problem. I have gone out with boy now and then and have always brought them Home to meet Mother and father. Just the other Day i met a boy who is altogether different from these other boys he does t want to come to my House and meet Mother and father i have met his parents and the like me As a daughter. Instead of him coming to my House after me he always tells me to meet him at certain places. Now or. Antheil i Don t like do ing this because Mother disapproves of it. Meet Mother has told me not to him out but i ust can t bring myself to Tell him this. I like him better than anybody i have gone with so far. Would you advise me to keep meeting him out or should i have a blonde. In the first place Young lady you Are kind of High handed for such a Young miss. You Are Only 16, and. This talk of the boy s parents accepting you As a daughter sounds kind of out of place. The boy must. Be very Young and is not on to the business of having dates. He is still in that stage of j youthfulness that makes him shrink from having the dates real and legitimate. I would say drop him until he grows up or merely have him for a pal.
