Up a plan submitted to the Canadian government British authorities hoped last night to evacuate the first contingent of British school Chil Dren to Canada within two or three weeks. It is also hoped thai Independent organizations in the United states will enter the plan to provide Safe Homes for children for the Dura Tion erf the each child who must be Between five and 16. Will be placed in a Canadian Home selected by an organization to be established under the Canadian government for that purpose. The child will stay in Canada As Long As War lasts and return to this country afterwards. A Cross Section of British school life will be selected poor children Rich children. Scottish. Welsh and English those from cities and those from farms. Each will pass a medical examination. Whole schools whether Public or private will not be sent to retain their educational identity in Canada but the pupils will be scattered throughout the country and be absorbed into the Canadian school system. An overseas reception Board headed by Geoffrey Shakespeare parliamentary Emder Secretary for the dominions was created yester Day. In addition to the filing to Canada Australia will take 5.000, new zealand and South Africa several if they belong to Grant aided schools their transportation will be free. Otherwise parents must pay a rate of about s60 to Canada or s80 to Australia.
