Hackett Dies at 81 years mrs. Elizabeth j. Hackett of 41 Cambridge Street for some years on the advisory committee of the Knowles Home Board of directors and life member of that Organiza Tion died thursday in the Miseri Cordia Hospital at the age of 81. Mrs Hackett was born in Peter Borough England july 16, 1864. She came to Canada with her Hus band in 1904. In Early Days she was actively connected with the North Winnipeg Hospital and also with the Margaret Scott Mission. From 1909 up to the time of her death mrs. Hackett s activities centred about the work of the Knowles school for boys. In 1916, when the 100th club of the Knowles boys Home was founded mrs. Hackett was one of the charter . In 1936 she was made a life member. For some years mrs. Hackett was a member of the advisory committee of the Knowles Home Board of directors. In december of 1941 mrs. Hackett was accorded the privilege of burning the mortgage which had been placed on the Knowles Home. This Honor was accorded her by reason of her then having been the oldest Active charter member of the institution. Mrs. Hackett was predeceased by her husband in 1930 and by a son Jimmie and a daughter Maude. Her Only survivor is her Daugh Ter mrs. Grace Wyrzykowski with whom she has been residing.
