To medical career is sex service woman s aim having served her country for 33 months As a member 01 the women s division of the Royal Canadian air Force miss Margaret Willene Vankoughnet of Carman has seized the Opportunity offered her under the service women s rehabilitation programme to enrol for a profession which was Only a dream for her before enlistment. Registering in the first course offered her which will enable her to take second year pre med subjects with the regular University students in the fall. Miss Vankoughnet has taken the first step towards a medical career one not offered to Many even in peace time and one which takes Long hours of study and a deter mined character. Always longing to become Medico and specialize in psychiatry this Young servicewomen took one year s training As a nurse at Brandon general Hospital be fore joining up. Now she has car ried her wish to treat the ills of humanity even further by preparing herself to become a full fledged doctor. Beat the egg Whites until Frothy and then add the Salt and Cream of tartar and continue beat ing until they Are quite stiff by not dry. Add the sugar a Zmajj amount at a time folding it in then add the flavourings. These May be changed to suit your taste. Lastly fold in the flour folding is important because if you attempt to beat in the flour with this Type of cake a Good Deal of volume will be lost in the finished product. Pour the mixture into an in greased tube pan and bake in a moderately slow oven c325 Deg. I j for about 1 hour. Always test an Angel cake before removing from the oven for if it is not baked Long enough it May drop out of the pan before it is cold when inverted to from the oven when done and invert in the pan until the cake is thoroughly cold before taking it from the pan this cake May be iced if desired or it May be transformed into a Complete dessert by scooping a Trench out of the cake Between the outer and inner Walls of the cake being careful not to Pierce these or the Bottom of the filling this with either a flavoursome Cream filling or a gelatine filling. If the latter is done use leftover cake that scooped out to make a fruit trifle. Break it into Surah and Combine with canned fruit and some of the syrup drained from the Jar.
