Following up on her last two outstanding performances Greeta who has pitched one no hit no run perfect game this season was a decisive Factor in athletics 2-0 Triumph Over St. ettes in the second game of the league s four out of seven final. The Victory witnessed by Cash customers in Osborne stadium gave St. Boniface a one Lead in the round the first match ending in a 5-5 deadlock after 17 innings. Third game in the series will be played thurs Day night at the stadium. The shutout stretched the num mrs. Campbell loses drops Tough one on Riverside . Up defending Champion Grace Lenczyk of Newington conn., tuesday breezed safely through the opening round of the Canadian ladies open Golf championship a round that produced few upsets and most victories by convincing margins. Twelve canadians and four americans came safely through the first 18-Hole match play test. The 21-year-old Connecticut girl with accurate drives and Sharp putting set up an Early five Hole Lead Over mrs. C. L. Urquhart of Riverside and was never threatened in winning 6 and 5. The tightest match of the Day produced something of an up set when mrs. A. A. Smith a 15 Handicap player from Oak Ridge ont., Defeated mrs. Bruce Camp Bell of Winnipeg Manitoba Cham Pion on the 19th Green. It was the Only extra Hole match in to Day s play mrs. Campbell Over coming a one Fafole deficit after half the journey Only to lose out at the 19th. Another Surprise came with the elimination if miss Marjorie Row. Windsor ont., scratch player at the hands of miss Isabelle Jarvis of Victoria a four Handicap golfer. Row was three Down after nine holes but came Back courageously and squared the match at the 17th. But miss Jarvis out drove her on the 18th and Sank a Short putt to win. In addition to miss Lenczyk the other americans who started tues Day s round finished in front. Mrs. Catherine Fox Park of Belleville n.j., won 5 and 4 Over mrs. W. S. Edey Winnipeg mrs. Eddie Bush of Wilmington del., Defeated mrs. W. H. Smith Ottawa Riverhead 5 and 4, and miss Pat o Sullivan of Orange conn., won by the Day s widest margin in turning Back miss Frances Sharpe Hull que., 7 and 6. Addition to miss Jarvis Junior final starts tonight the greater Winnipeg Junior baseball league final gets underway tonight at Osborne stadium when Rose Dales South division champions meet Elmo Oil giant North. Section titlist in the first Fame of the four out of seven series. Donny Reid Ace hurler for Kosc Dales will Start on the Mound for the South division winners facing the Josh mood giant Star Pitcher Glen Ryan. Pitching steady eight innings Smith could not match the record of Maclean. Greeta struck out nine batters and walked one while Louise could not fan any and issued one. Free pass. Besides Jopling the other St. Boniface hitters were Bea Mcken Zie Vera Wilson Maclean and Marge Mcclellan. The four St vital safeties were by Janet Beckwith Yoyo Veillet i Lozanski and panting.
