The report said that in the International Trade situation the most significant feature is the massive increase in the share of the United states and Canada in world exports. Their share in world food exports has risen in the past 10 years from less than one seventh to. About two fifths of the total. Canadian ship rescues 18 airmen from Lifeboat nov. 21 up the Doughty Canadian destroyer Haida steamed triumphantly into Hamilton Bermuda sunday after snatching from the Stormy Atlantic 18 survivors of last wednesday s crash of a b-29. The warship successfully concluded a spectacular Rescue saturday when she picked up the 18 men from a Lifeboat where they had huddled cold and exhausted for More than 75 hours. Two other members of the big bomber s Crew Are believed to have gone Down when the plane ditched some 300 Miles Northeast of Bermuda. Fourteen of the survivors walked off the boat. Four were carried to the Hospital at the United states air Force base at Kindley Field.
