The Central flood control committee gave a top priority to the Protection of the Winni Peg electric company Gas Plant at Sutherland and Rover the bakeries prepared to use their auxiliary ovens. Some of these Are heated with electricity mme Oil and some with Coal. Bread consumption in greater Winnipeg has almost doubled since the beginning of the flood crisis the company . Volunteer workers and residents of flood threatened Homes have re sorted to Sandwich meals. Most of the City s bakeries have been operating.24 hours a Day to keep Pace with the growing de Mand.
