The request is to be issued by the mennonite Central committee Agency for foreign Relief and Gen eral welfare it. Was Learned sunday from David Schroeder Western Canadian mennonite representative who volunteered services through the red Cross. J. Rempel manager of Canadian mennonite head Sarten in Waterloo ont., will Arr re in Winnipeg this week to enter discussions with leaders of the mennonite com mini Itley and out details of the plan. According to or. Schroeder. The plan than will involve offering More 100 tractors and other farm implements plus sufficient per Connel to Man the equipment on a 24-hour basis if necessary. Men and equipment will be sent from near est mennonite colonies to stricken areas and the support of Manitoba s mennonites plus an additional Brethren through out other Western provinces will be thrown behind the plan. If seeding of areas made desolate by the flood is necessary the mennonite Relief Agency is willing to Supply any Quantity required or Schroeder added. The mennonite Agency or foreign Relief and general Wel fare was established after the War. I has had representatives working in 20 countries since the end of hostilities providing general Aid to hard hit areas and the Manitoba offer is part of the general scheme of ser vice work done through the Agency. Rehabilitation services will be performed for any Community Agency through its local or Muni pal government and it if hoped hat the work of Manitoba s mennonite colonies will assist in Speed no up the tremendous work of re habilitation with which the farm population is faced by the present emergency.
