The joyous chorus of reapers the Lively songs of the Kermess the stirring Waltz the triumphant soldiers chorus the chorus of demons and chant of priests in the Church scene and the final hymn of the Angels announcing Marguerite s soul is saved _ were among the choral selections Sung with pleasing contrasts in tone and mood. The orchestra drawn from the Winnipeg symphony provided a steady accompaniment Taro Gnout the opera. Although its greater volume of tone sometimes drowned out the singers the orchestra combined with the choir and soloists reached Many thrilling climaxes of sound.
