Hugh Dyer Branch of the legion Here monday night voted 525 to the Deer Lodge legion Branch in St. James in appreciation of the Way its members have looked after Minnedosa vet Erans hospitalized in Deer Lodge Hospital. This action followed a report by Bill Lucavish who returned Here after several weeks in Hospital. The Secretary was instructed to write a letter conveying the Minnedosa Branch s deep gratitude. The legion also voted to throw1 its full support behind the mint Nedosa school Board in its efforts 1o build a new school Here. Sid paler chairman of the school Board explained How the vote on the s30.000 Money bylaw would be carried out feb. 5. Curling contest the members also Votel s125 1o the Minnedosa hockey club to help finance hockey in Minnedosa this year. President Fred Harbottle will represent the Branch on the hockey executive. A committee was set up to arrange Minnedosa participation in the Curling knockout contest to be held among All branches in this zone. The top legion team in each Village and town will continue playing their neighbors until All rinks have been Defeated. A joint delegation of chamber of Commerce members and the town Council will visit Winnipeg next week seeking Industrial expansion opportunities for the town mayor j. H Chipperfield will head the joint delegation. This was decided at the chamber of com Merce meeting monday night.
