The local debaters contesting the controversial topic resolved that the Kinsey reports Are a. Bene fit to society copped two split decision in debates against University of Saskatchewan and University of British Columbia Debat teams. Victorious debaters were Charles Juba and and Jerry third year Law Leo Stern third year Medicine and Julius Koteles first year Law. Their Victory marked the fifth time in six years that the coveted has been won by a univer sity of team. The Mcgoun cup is awarded each year to the debating team which captures the highest num Ber of Points in debates against two of the other three Western universities. Three judges adjudicate each debate with a favourable decision by each judge giving the team one Point and an Addic Point going to the victorious team in each debate. University of Manitoba debaters won the contest with six Points while British Columbia and Alberta debaters tied for second place with Jour Points apiece.
