In Kil philharmonic concerts Start oct. 10 the new York philharmonic symphony with Dimitri Mitrop have Len a n d r e a comedian As musical director will master of ceremonies for the variety concert which also Georges Paquin St. Boniface the two hour show which and Norman Howarth begin at 8.15 ., is to feature Persona Tor taking part As much Winnipeg Talent As pos sible. Choirs an orchestra comedians singers and an accordion band Are among the 12 numbers on the program. Volunteer artists All artists taking part in the opening show Are giving services voluntarily. Net proceeds from the show will go to the Rainbow stage fund to pro vide additional equipment for the outdoor theatre. Mayor Garnet Coulter will officially open the theatre. Speeches will be Given by Reg Hugo president of the civic music league and James Fraser chairman of the Board of Parks and recreation. Work is proceeding at Lull tilt and As Lonj As the weather co operates the seating area will be finished for the opening said t. R. Miss Sisler won the Beryl Ferguson trophy at the 1953 festival and the Aikins trophy top instrumental trophy at the 1954 festival.
