For the third successive year the program is on a pay As you go basis with All monies to be out of current revenues. Formerly a portion was obtained from current revenues and the remainder provided from borrow Ings. Spending breakdown a breakdown of estimated expenditures shows slated to be spent on the trans Canada Highway. Another will be used for other trunk highways including surveys and pole lines. Highway maintenance and Spe Cial projects will take up 650 while will be spent on Road air to municipalities and work in reorganized districts. A total of will be spent on mining and development roads. Besides these amounts municipalities will contribute As their Matching share of Road maintenance and unorganized districts another of the total is charged to the capital division. This will come out current revenues but is considered Capi a Tal expenditures to the extent it need not All be used in one year. Main work this year will be on the trans Canada Highway and on no. 10, running from the International Boundary North to flin flon. No. 10 is now Blac stopped to North of Pine half Way Between Dauphin and Swan River. This year it is planned to Seal coat parts of the Highway North of Pine River and Blacktop an other portion. This will take the Black Topping portion 32 Miles North from Pine. River to the Vicinity of Cowan North of Cowan to the Lens Road 12 Miles there will be .1 base course and double prime treatment. On no. 1 Highway East one mile of the West Lane in West Kildonan will be widened Ami i Miles of the East Lane will be Black topped. No. 10 Highway Between the Pas and flin flon will be Gravelled. The 11 Miles Between the Pas and prospector will also be graded and the Section of 20 Miles Between Baker s Narrows and South flin flon will get double prime treatment.
