They re made up of the most responsible fifth and sixth Grade boys usually the Mem Bers Are selected by their teachers. Local motorcycle cops come into the school to rain them. Sometimes service clubs pay for the uniforms they Wear. Sometimes the Board of education does with Public funds. The patrols control the flow of both pedestrian and car traffic near schools during Rush hours. A Well drilled Well dressed Junior traffic patrol commands respect. Drivers pay More at Tention to the kids than they do to adult policemen. There is something about the Young sters which makes adults extra cautious. Children respect them too. A while ago in los an Geles some men made a study of teen age Drivers. Do you know which ones were the safest former members of Junior traffic patrols. They did t have accidents.
