The Assiniboine Little league won the b Manitoba Coop Tro Phy with a 3-2 seven inning win Over Optimist National no. 2. The eventual winners tied the game 2-2 with two runs in the Bottom of the sixth. In the seventh Sandy Orlesky singled and moved to second when Don Mclaughlin was hit by a pitched Ball. Doug Ives single chased Orlesky Home with the winning run. Mclaughlin earned the Mound Victory Over Terry Scott. Both pitchers came on in the sixth Mclaughlin for Craig Spencer and Scott for Brian Reid. Garden City scored six runs in the first inning to Zero St. Boniface nationals 6-0 in the c Manitoba sugar co. Trophy final. Robert Medoff coasted to the Mound Victory.
