Winnipeg Free Press (Newspaper) - August 5, 1963, Winnipeg, Manitoba Winnipeg free press monday August 5, 1963 House damaged by fire fire heavily damaged the third floor and roof of a Home at 190 Braemar Avenue St. Boniface saturday morning. The fire was first noticed about . When neighbors saw smoke coming from the upstairs of the three Storey Frame House owned by Andrew Cha Bidon. Or. Cha Bidon and his family were away at the tune. Fire officials said the Blaze of undetermined origin broke out i a suite on the third floor occupied by Joseph Macquarrie. Or. Mac Quarrie was not at Home at the time. Firemen from both no. 1 and no. 2 fireballs confined the flames to the third floor. They fought the fire for nearly two hours. Fire officials said there was extensive damage to the entire third floor and roof of the House. The downstairs suffered consid Erable smoke and water damage.
