Winnipeg Free Press (Newspaper) - August 7, 1963, Winnipeg, Manitoba 18 Winnipeg free press wednesday August 1963 hints from Heloise by Heloise Cruse dear Heloise i want to Tell you about my wonderful dish it s Good for scrubbing or washing dishes or any chore for which a cloth can be used. I would Trade one of these for a Carload of sponges. I buy Wash clothes at the dime store on Sals. I buy five of these wonderful cloths and Cut one in four sections. I quilt one fourth piece i have Cut from the fifth dishcloth diagonally into the Center of the other Wash rag by stitching it on the machine. Why not let your readers try it and give them this hint i think they would love it. Elsie Goss dear folks Elsie sent in a Blue Wash cloth and sure enough it Hac one fourth of another Wash rag stitched diagonally in the Cen Ter. I have had this letter on my desk two weeks while using this Wash cloth for scrubbing everything. It gives a grabbing base to your hand when you Wash something it scrubs Wood work tile floors and just about anything. I agree with Elsie there is just nothing like it without spending any Money you All could take an old Wash cloth and try this method. You won t lose anything and i be Lieve you will find something great you will never do without hereafter. Our thanks to Elsie. Heloise dear Heloise it seems to me that the lonely Bachelor who heats his break fast plate by letting hot water run Over it goes to a lot of extra trouble when the same thing can be accomplished by placing the dishes in a warm oven about 250 degrees. This requires no dry ing either and the lingering heat in the oven keeps the dishes warm much longer. I bet he does not pay his own Utility Bills. Another Bachelor dear Heloise i am a fan of yours. I read your column and get lots of Good tips. I thought you might like the enclosed hints for those who have furniture covered with Lea ther like plastic Ordinary dirt can be removed by washing with warm water and a mild soap.
