Followed by trumpet voluntary Purcell the Bride Given in marriage by her father and Mother wore a full length Ivory Satin gown in Renaissance style the raised Waistline tiny Over a Bell folding straight skirt. The bodice showed a lace panel accent of Chantilly lace in Orchid Motif followed through on the Elbow sleeve with its banding of sat in. A floating Cape of the lace bordered in Satin Fel from the Back shoulder into a train. Her veil caught in a narrow Satin Coronet with Bow trim was of Ivory illusion falling to the shoulder. The Bride carried a Cluster Spray of fire King Sweet heart roses and Salal. The Matron of Honor mrs. J. Proudfoot and two bridesmaids misses Lynne Mcdonell and Averill Hubble were gowned alike in Renaissance red Woven silk crepe the dresses of simple Cut Over Blouse and slim skirt the Blouse featuring a cowl neckline in Back. Their headdresses were of Matching red net and bows of the crepe. The Flower girl Elizabeth Nicholson was gowned in a dirndl style dress in Ivory Satin with Matching Coronet. The bouquets of t h e attendants were clusters of Honey Gold sweetheart roses. The Bride s Mother wore a gown of dark Turquoise Chantilly lace Over taffeta the bodice showing a soft Side draping Over the v insert at the Throat flow ing into a lace and taffeta panel under a Large Flat Bow at the Side. Her Cloche of Satin cres cent shaped petals was in the same Shade. The Bride s grandmother mrs. Donald s. Nicolson of Vancou ver wore a Sheath gown of Delft Blue Linen and Matching jacket. Her hat was in Cream beige Milan Straw with Matching accessories. In attendance for the Groom were his Best Man lieutenant Kenneth Tayler of Toronto in the uniform of the governor general s foot guards. Flying officer Bruce Marr of Montreal and officers of the Queen s own Cameron highlanders. Pipe major Alex Graham piped the Cou ple from the Church through a guard of Honor. For her travelling costume the Bride wore a hand Woven silk Tweed suit in spice Taupe Shade the a front Over Blouse Over a natural India silk Blouse of Oyster tone and a slim skirt. She carried a prayer Book overlaid with trailing Stepha Notis and comb idiom orchids. Maid of Honor was Judi Hay Ward. Bridesmaids were Marlene Stevens and Susan Lindquist Sisters of the Bride. Flower girl was Linda Hawkins sister of the Groom. They were gowned respectively in Pink and mauve Street length dresses of silk organza featuring Elbow length sleeves and Bell shaped skirts.
