He grew up and went to school in Ojai a sleepy artists Colony North of los Angeles then joined the Seabeck for three years. After his service hitch he continued ins Edu cation at Ventura College and Glendale City College. At Occidental College near los Angeles where he went to compete his schooling Cor Bett had his first serious Brush with dramatics. Friends in his College s drama depart ment asked him to replace a last minute dropout in you never can by George Bernard Shaw. Corbett did it. He enjoyed it to the extent that he plunged into acting with enthusiasm. His High Point in College dramatics came. When he played the. Navy lawyer Greenwald in a production of the Caine Mutiny court b e f e the production Corbett mapped out a strategy that would have done credit to Napoleon he arranged for some Talent agents to be in the audience r that night. Corbett is married to the former Judy Daniels a fellow student at Ventura College. They have two children Jason born oct. 8, 1959, and Jocelyn born sept. 26, 1960. The series will be carried by All ctr stations. The hourglass presents a wide variety of top Quality entertainment. It will bring Back to the ctr network the wily Sleuth Maigret in 13 Brand new episodes. It will show 20 new Man of the world pro Grams starring Craig Stevens who scored so successfully with his portrayals of Peter Gunn. And it will include 12 bbl major television productions. Nixon director of net work programming has announced the appointment of John Reeves Haggan As Gen eral supervisor of Public affairs for the Canadian Broad casting corporation. Or. Haggan 41-year-old native of Belfast Ireland succeeds Bernard Trotter who recently was named executive assistant to the principal of Queen s University. Or. Haggan received his education in Belfast and in Lon Don England and came to Canada in 1950.
