Dinner at . Was to precede the program. Annual meeting the annual meeting and elec Tion of officers of Misericordia general Hospital ladies auxiliary will be held at 2 . March 11 in the Hospital Board room. Officers election the annual election of officers for West end memorial Community club will be held at 2 . Wednesday in the club rooms 950 Arlington Street. Serve hot dinner a hot dinner with homemade fruit pies was served sunday to 180 members of the Good neigh Bors club for elderly men by the Winnipeg Lionel Les with con Vener mrs. Bert Knight in. Charge. The dinner followed a musical program arranged by mrs. Walter h. Watt. Artists were Vivian Pearce Estelle Gaw Ley. Laura Mclean Diane Scott Clarence Smith and Thomas Watt. Fifth anniversary one Hundred and eighty Mem Bers of Knox United Church senior citizens club celebrated the fifth anniversary of the club Fri Day with a luncheon in the Church Hall. Each table was Cen tred with a wooden decoration made by members. Following the luncheon charter members of the club were honoured. Mrs. James Hall was Given special re cognition for her work with the club. A musical program was directed by Don Murray and accompanied by Yvonne Hamblin on the piano and Marlene Arna son on the Banjo. Mrs. Gibbs elected mrs. J. C. Gibbs succeeded mrs. E. W. Jones As president of the women s auxiliary to the Church Home for girls at the annual meeting. Mrs. C. B. Saunders is vice president mrs. R. A Knott Secretary mrs. W. G. Macewing and mrs. J. M. Beat until combined add Choco late. Set Over boiling water. Stirring frequently Cook until thickened and smooth about 20 minutes. Pour hot Over Cream. Yield six Servings or 1% cups sauce. Butterscotch sauce 1 2.3 of. Bar creamy Toffee it cup Cereal Cream melt Toffee Over hot water. At serving time stir in Cream. Serve warm. Yield three serv Ings. Pineapple sauce 1 cup crushed pineapple i cup Corn syrup Teaspoon mint extract 2 drops Green food colouring Combine ingredients in order listed. Mix Well. Chill. 1v4 cups or six Servings., fudge sauce 1 cup Semi Sweet chocolate pieces cup evaporated milk in Small heavy Saucepan heat chocolate and milk until blended. Stir constantly. Serve warm Over Cream. Servings. Date nut sundae Topping a cup sliced pitted fresh dates cup Corn syrup i cup Brown sugar i cup water Teaspoon Salt a Teaspoon Vanilla cup chopped pecans Combine dates Corn syrup sugar water and Salt in sauce pan. Bring to boil Cook two min utes Over medium heat. Remove from heat. Add Vanilla and nuts. Cool. Yield five Servings. Crispy nut Topping 2 Tablespoons butter i cup coarsely crushed Corn flakes cup Brown sugar 4 cup chopped filberts preheat oven to 375 Deg. F. Melt butter in shallow pan. Add remaining ingredients. Stir to Combine. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until Crisp and lightly toasted. Stir three times during baking. Yield six Servings. Stirring constantly melt Choco late in water Over Low heat re move from heat blend in Cream Seive hot 01 cold Over Cream yield one cup or four seism is Coffee Walnut sauce 1 cup sugar cups Strong hot Coffee z Tablespoons cornstarch 3 Tablespoons cold Coffee z Tablespoons butter Teaspoon Salt cup coarsely chopped walnuts melt sugar Over Low heat in heavy Skillet stirring often. Slowly add hot Coffee. Stirring constantly Cook until sugar Dis solves. Mix cornstarch and cold Coffee to smooth paste. Stir into warm mixture and Cook until thickened and smooth. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat stir in butter Salt and nuts. Serve warm. Yield two cups or eight Servings.
