Of padding figures the Manitoba government was accused Friday with padding the figures of its 1964-65 Esti. Mates for work to be done on the greater Winnipeg flood Way. The charges were levelled in the provincial legislature by opposition Leader Gildas Mol Gat and Saul nip St. John s during the final debate on the agriculture department estimates. Or. Cherniack said he was somewhat confused by the government estimates for the last and the current year dealing with anticipated Cost of the flood Way project. Last year he said an Esti mated million was set aside however Only about million had been spent. This year s Esti mates Call for the spending of million. Too much Money How can we expect Mil lion value of work to be done this he asked. He suggested that the figures included in the current estimates Are exaggerated or or. Said that although the government has been main Taining that everything must be done on schedule it contradicts itself when it spends Only million As was the Case last year.
