Last night the Winnipeg promoter had counted Heads in the Arena two before George Cuvalo and Floyd Patterson were scheduled Trade punches in their 12-round heavyweight bout. The picture on the big screen excellent and Cyclone was rubbing his hands As he looked Forward to biggest payday in the promotion of five closed to shows. Then it happened. Somewhere Between Seattle and Vancouver there was a mechanical breakdown it was t rectified until nine rounds had passed although one did hear the comments Cassius Clay and Don Dunphy. Most of the fans remained in their seats hoping the picture would come to the screen. Finally just As the ninth round ended it did. But it was too late for Macalpine. Visibly upset at the unfortunate turn of promoter Macalpine announced immediately following the fight that All those holding ticket stubs would receive a refund at the Arena Box office. Macalpine thought he had it made ton and Clay were re matched for a title boil of in Boston. The night before it was scheduled to take place Clay came up with a hernia and the match was called off.
