Excepting a number of outstanding individual performances the premiere edition of the ice show in waxed less than sensational. Skaters Guy Revell and Ger Trude Desjardins reached the audience with two outstanding displays on the Blades. Comic Terry. Head was not entirely his skating stunts and his professionalism and presence on the ice were full of value for the applause he received and probably the High spot of the program. Some of the hollow ground choreography was outstanding particularly the High Button shoes routine which used a movie screen at the end of the ice for one of Uriost exciting displays seen on or off the ice in years. The precision and Faming shown by the skaters during the routine vastly overshadowed the blandness of the act itself the artists dashed in and out of the screen action with a smoothness that had to be seen to be believed. Technical effects and costuming in this edition of ice Capanes Are probably As Good As troupe could manage. Television screens they did t work tuesday and highly professional lighting consoles combined to present dramatic results of a Broadway production.
