The meeting was organized by a local protest committee headed by Reeve coldwell municipality j. S. Sigurdson and Lakeshore school trustee a. V. Olson. Everyone present sighed a petition protesting the com Mission s recommendations for the future the Interlake educational system As contained in the report released March 9. These petitions Are Antny being circulated throughout the inter Lake area. In addition to citizens the lunar District people attended the protest meeting from Deer Horn Eriksdale Steep Rock Teulon Fisher Branch Clark Leigh Oak Point and St. Laur ent. All were in agreement that the proposals would be disastrous to the Young people the area. Speakers at the meeting were Reeve Sigurdson . Olson George Schroeder principal lunar consolidated school Dan Macneil principal Fisher Branch High school. They spoke out against the divorce reforms May 2?
