Robert Mcclory re pub author of the amendment to Register hand guns said pistols and revolvers account for the great bulk of gun crimes. He said that a Federal registration system would Aid police immensely in keeping them out of the hands of criminals. Rep. Mcclory however opposed the Effort by rep. Jona Thon b. Rather than curbing crime rep. Sikes shouted they would do exactly the opposite they would give the criminal a free land to Rob kill Burn and rape.
