Number of forces bands reduced Ottawa up full time bands in the Canadian forces Are being reduced to nine from 17, the defence department announced today. The reduction will mean a Cut in full time musicians in the unified forces to 555 from 792. Bands run on a voluntary basis by about 40 forces units Are to be maintained the department said.
