The relatively unchanged boundaries of the Riding will probably be an advantage for d. M. Stanes the conservative candidate in the june 25 elec Tion who has represented the constituency in the legislature for the past 11 years. But or. Stanes cannot expect a smooth Road Back to the legislature because his two opponents Peter Moss for the liberals and a. H. Mackling for the new democratic party Are also Well known Public figures in the Riding As both Are St. James Assiniboia City aldermen. The area of the Riding has been expanded North to notre Dame Avenue from Ellice Avenue on the East Side of Winnipeg International Airport for the Only significant change to the Riding. Or. Stanes was first elected to the legislature in 1958 after serving As a St. James Alder Man for three years. He was re elected in the 1959, 1962 and 1966 general elections. In the 1966 election or. Stanes received votes compared with for the Liberal candidate and for the nip candidate. Aid. Moss 44, is making his first bid for a provincial 1 seat.
