The inquest was hearing evidence concerning the death of Kenneth Francis Black 18, of Sudbury ont., whose body was discovered a week ago in a shallow grave near Hope 100 Miles West of Vancouver. Coroner Glen Macdonald ruled the death a homicide by strangulation. In his testimony Meguire said his Friend died april 30 just after the two arrived from Sudbury. During the time he was held prisoner he lived in fear of his life he stated. The Crown alleges Meguire was held prisoner until shortly before the body was unearthed and that the body was kept in the apartment for two months before being put in a truck driven to Hope and buried in a plastic bag filled with Lime. Meguire was arrested in Sudbury and was brought Back to Vancouver As a material witness. Or. R. O. Brammel who conducted an autopsy said although strangulation was the Likely cause of death this a que not be determined positively. He said it was badly decomposed and showed evidence of severe lacerations in the Throat area. Charged with non capital murder in the Case is John Melvin Ritcey 24, of Vancouver.
