Defence counsel introduced four letters sent to the Man by his wife allegedly containing items for herbs used in witchcraft. Magistrate Darichuk said psychiatric reports showed the Man knew the illegality of the incestuous relationship. The magistrate said that in jail the Man would be Able to Benefit from counselling ser vices. His term is to be Fol Lowed by a suspended one year sentence with probationary supervision. Defence counsel said that after he first spoke to the Man he realized it would be Neces sary to get psychiatric reports to see if he truly believed what he said or was just saying the reports had shown the Man was convinced his wife who admits practising witchcraft had placed a hex upon him.
