Al the same time As the judge rescinded the stay order he granted a 15-Day delay for the resumption of the inquiry at the request of Rory Edge the lawyer represent ing the two police detectives. Edge asked for the delay to study the written decision of the judge Deli Vered orally in court tuesday morning. The police commission is investigating claims by John Francis Frampton who says he was beaten july 18, 1976, by the detectives during the course of a rape investigation. Frampton was subsequently convicted of the rape of a 11 year old and sentenced to three years in jail. The police commission inquiry had been stopped after its first Day on an application by Edge who challenged the commission s Juris diction to hold the inquiry.
