Just six months later in june 1977, it had risen one per cent to 6.1 per cent. There was no restraint yet unemployment was growing. No one can expect the pres ent government to repair the damages in less than seven months even if the time lag involved in economic Deci Sions is disregarded. The real reason that the problem exists is not due to fiscal restraint such an exercise could not have had an Impact great enough to Cre ate the size of unemployment with which we Are faced.
