Winnipeg Free Press (Newspaper) - June 01, 1978, Winnipeg, Manitoba Winnipeg free press thursday june 46 answer by Billy Graham question i a a Kristin Aid i have become Active in Church. Some of the people there criticize and say i Aeed to Calm Dowa some. I admit i get excited about Christ Bat is that such a bad Tarig l. R. Answer often when a Young person becomes a Christian it is natural to be excited about his new Faith. The important thing is to Channel that excitement in the right direction. Sometimes a Young believer can be insensitive to others in his Zeal to Tell them about Christ and instead of helping others find Christ As he wishes to he actually does More harm than Good. Let suggest three things. First be thankful for your newfound Faith and be thankful for the Zeal and enthusiasm god has Given you. You will not necessarily always have the same emotions you have now but Pray that your love for Christ will never fide but instead will grow. As Paul said it is Fine to be zealous provided the purpose is Good galatians new inter a j tonal second Pray for greater sensitivity and love for those in your Church. People have different temperaments and people come to Christ in different ways. Just because they May not have had As dramatic a conversion As you does not mean they Are not christians. Don t assume that everyone should be like you and be very careful of being judgmental about others. Do not think of yourself More highly than you ought but rather think of yourself with sober judgment romans finally ask god to show you specific ways that your Zeal can be channelled into useful service. Perhaps there is a youth group that can use some of your abilities and it would be especially helpful to you if you were Able to assist an older j Christian who works with such a group. By love serve one we Are told galatians we All need to get j More excited about this.
