In a Telephone interview from Vancouver. Kancs said there Are 20 ships waiting for Grain in Vancouver and to ships waiting in Thunder Bay ont. Dennis Mcdermott president of the Cana Dian labor Congress said in a news release the railways have failed to deliver Grain to the ports for Export and the credibility of Canada in world Grain Trade is endangered and demurrage fees on ships waiting to Load Grain in Vancouver could approach demurrage fees paid by the Farmers Are charged Fay ships that Are Idle in the har Bors because the cargo is delayed. Mcdermott said the Federal government should not have allowed the deterioration of railway Box car fleets. The government has known for a Long time there would be heavy shipments but it has done nothing to increase Mcdermott said following a meeting earlier in the week of the Csc Grain handling com Mittee.
