Winnipeg Free Press (Newspaper) - September 28, 1978, Winnipeg, Manitoba
Winnipeg free press classified thursday september 28, 1978 45 my answer by Billy Graham question i have tried and tried to read my Bible but it just does t make much sense. I have Given it up. Why do you say it is important to read it mrs. L. B. Answer it is important to read the Bible for one reason it is god s word and we need it. In it god tells us about his love for us and How we can become his children through Faith in his son Jesus Christ. He tells us where we have come from Why we Are on the Earth and where we Are going. Let me make some suggestions. You will find it helpful to use a Good modern version of the Bible. Unlike most books it is perhaps Best not to Start at the beginning of the Bible in genesis. Instead Start with one of the gospels which tells us about Jesus Christ. I sometimes Tell people that we should Start with the Centre and the Centre of the Bible is Jesus Christ. Start with the gospel of John. Don t try to read too much each Day and Don t concentrate on the things you can t understand fully concentrate on the things you can understand. As you read the gospel of John ask yourself some questions who is Jesus Christ what do i learn of him is there anything that i should believe or do you May want to make a list of such things. Your real problem May be that you have never been born again. The Bible warns us the Man without the spirit does not accept the things that come from the spirit of god for they Are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them because they Are spiritually discerned i corinthians new International if this is your Case i urge you to give your life to Christ. Then you May find the Bible a new and thrilling Book because now you know the author personally. Deaths Ronald George Adams at his residence or.
