Winnipeg Free Press (Newspaper) - January 29, 1979, Winnipeg, Manitoba Winnipeg free press monday january 29, 1979 27 my answer by Billy Graham question i have a Friend who says All men Are really Little gods and that if they Are Good enough they will become gods when they die. What do you think of this idea . Answer the Bible gives a quite different picture of us. It says to be sure that we were created in the image of god. But it also tells us we have rebelled against god and something tragic has happened to us. The image of god within us has become blemished and broken. For example instead of Loving selflessly As god does we Are very self centred. We no longer love god or others As we should. In fact the idea your Friend suggests is very similar to the falsehood satan told eve when he tempted her to turn her Back on god. And the Serpent said unto the woman be shall not surely die for god doth know that in the Day be eat thereof then your eyes shall be opened and be shall be As gods genesis but Adam and eve did not become As gods instead death and misery came upon the human race. The Bible tells us we share in that sin. In order for us to go to heaven and know its rewards something has to happen to us. The Bible tells us we have to undergo spiritual we must be born again. Nicodemus was a very Learned and devout theologian but Jesus told him be must be born again John the Bible also tells us flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of god i corinthians the wonderful thing is that we can be born again spiritually by Faith in Jesus Christ. He gave his life that we might live. For Christ died for your sins once for All the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to god 1 Peter new International Stella Takuska on thursday january 25, suddenly on january Thomas the health sciences Centre Stella beloved wife of Michael and Loving Mother of Susan Douglas and Mary of Kildonan drive in her 48th year.
