Police said William Victor Rit Chie 30, of Cumberland ., was charged with attempted murder after his 22-year-old wife Lena was thrown off the Bridge tuesday. She was pulled from the water by another Cumberland resident Joseph o Hara. Mrs. Ritchie after being released from Hospital was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay a Fine for an impaired driving conviction police said.
